Are you a service provider delivering support services under the CHSP? Join us for this free informative Wellness CPR – Finding Wellness through Strengths workshop.
Presented by Vanessa Leane PhD Candidate Uni, the workshop incorporates a special focus on cultural understanding of life strengths in action.
The workshop will assist CHSP providers to:
- Understand why a profile of strengths is important in old age?
- Start exploring the knowledge and competencies needed to identify strengths in older people to better discover, understand and interpret the wellness process of strengths in action.
- Learn how to interpret client wellbeing stories to enhance strengths of culture.
Drawing from the rich narrative of our elders, Vanessa Leane will discuss ways we can hear, see, discover and understand what are the strengths of people and how to sustain the ongoing development of life strengths in old age.
With a particular focus on strengths in cultural context, Vanessa will be highlighting how interpreting the meaning of stories can provide valuable insight to enhance the quality of the interaction between CHSP service providers and CALD elders.
