Manual Handling Training

This session will cover important aspects of manual handling for CHSP programs who provide care to the frail aged.
Manual Handling is a significant part of WHS, which is a core component of your Quality Review process. This session is aimed at increasing and refreshing awareness and understanding of workplace manual handling tasks in an effort to prevent injuries. Participants will be able to identify and apply WHS for dealing with manual handling in the workplace.
- Discussing a definition of manual handling, guidelines for safe manual handling and principles of risk management
- Explaining basic anatomy & biomechanics applied to manual handling that inform facilitation of normal movement patterns
- Demonstrating of equipment used to assist safe manual handling

Course cancellations: Multicultural Aged Care reserves the right to cancel events if sufficient numbers are not achieved. In the case of a cancellation by Multicultural Aged Care all registration fees will be refunded in full.
Registration transfer or cancellation: Notification of cancellation or transfer of registration must be provided in writing either by fax 8352 1266 or email email@example.com. No refund is available for any cancellations/transfers received 48 hours or less prior to the start date or for non-attendance. A substitute delegate or a credit transfer is welcome. Please notify Multicultural Aged Care in writing of any substitution or credit transfer as soon as possible.
