Workshop ✯ Culturally Appropriate Client & Customer Service for CALD older people

Sophie Diamandi and Patricia Muncey, Directors of Working Culture and Agnieszka Chudecka, Training Officer at Multicultural Aged Care Inc. have partnered up and are bringing you Culturally Appropriate Client and Customer Service for older people from CALD backgrounds workshop.

Aimed towards managers, supervisors and direct service staff.

This training uses the cultural competence training approach (knowledge, self-awareness and skills) to help establish a framework, which allows for the development of Culturally Appropriate Client and Customer Service for older people from CALD backgrounds.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Identifying and understanding Culturally Appropriate Client and Customer Service for older people from CALD backgrounds
  • Examining and understanding the cycle of service, and how it can provide both positive and negative experiences for clients
  • Identifying, reviewing and understanding spheres of influence and control, and how suitable changes can be made to benefit clients
  • Providing a culturally appropriate service to older people from CALD backgrounds and their families, and mapping out how this could look in participants’ work environments

Increasing Culturally Appropriate Client and Customer Service for older people from CALD backgrounds awareness results in an ability to better understand, address and effectively deliver culturally appropriate and competent, person-centred services.
